Maker labs, workshops, education, workspaces: TU Delft Science Centre brings together a world of discovery. Children come to play, parents rediscover curiosity, students experiment, makers build. Different audiences, same need: space to explore and do.
That diversity called for a brand that breathes TU Delft while being welcoming enough for everyone. Not an ivory tower, but an open door. Together with children, parents and students, we tested colors, visuals and words. What works? What invites? What sparks curiosity?
Through co-creation and field research, we developed a new brand architecture, communication strategy and visual identity. Recognizable as part of the university, yet more relaxed, more accessible, more hands-on. With ‘Bij ons kan het’ (‘Here, you can’) as the tagline that captures it all: a place to discover, build and try things out – with real tools, real science and real guidance.
We created a flexible brand system: a visual style, brand book and brand generator that enable all teams to create their own materials. The brand adapts to each audience while staying true to its overarching identity.
The result: a brand that lives. One that radiates trust, sparks curiosity and brings everyone along. As makeable as the place itself.
